Story Time
Story Time

Registration for fall begins August 23. Classes start September 7. To register, call the library at 801-785-3950 or register online by clicking below on "Register for Story Time." You will need your library card number and pin number for online registration.

Story time is a six-week program for children three to six years old and consists of approximately 40 minutes of stories, songs, fingerplays, and crafts.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, or 1:00 pm. There is no fee for this class but you must register your child with a current library card. Class lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Weekly themes for the first session of Fall Story Time classes are:

  1. September 7 & 8 - Boats
  2. September 14 & 15 - Bus and Cars
  3. September 21 & 22 - Bikes and Roller Skates
  4. September 28 & 29 - Trains
  5. October 5 & 6 - Planes and Balloons
  6. October 12 & 13 - Trucks and Tractors

Wee Read
Wee Read

Registration for fall begins August 23. Classes start September 7. To register, call the library at 801-785-3950 or register online by clicking below on "Register for Wee Read." You will need your library card number and pin number for online registration.

Wee Read is a class for little ones, eighteen months to three years.

Registration for this free program is a must because of limited space.

Classes are held on Thursdays at: 10:00 am, 11:00 am, and 12:00 pm.

Themes for the first Fall Wee Read classes are:

  1. September 9 - All about me
  2. September 16 - Frogs
  3. September 23 - Shapes & Sizes
  4. September 30 - Pumpkins Time
  5. October 7 - Pirates- “Ahoy”
  6. October 14 - On the Move

There will be a second Fall session, with classes starting October 28.

Themes for the second round of classes are:

  1. October 28th - Boo to You
  2. November 4th - Elephants
  3. November 11th - Clap Your Hands Stomp Your Feet
  4. November 18th - Gobble Gobble
  5. December 2nd - Christmas Favorites

Music and Movement
Music and Movement

Music and Movement is still on break during the first round of fall programming. This class will restart on October 25.

Music and Movement features rhythm, chanting, singing, and movement. This popular class fills quickly, so sign up soon.

This class is designed for children 3 and 1/2 to 6 years old. All participants need to be potty trained.

Class size is limited to 12 students. This class lasts approximately 35 minutes each session, with 6 total sessions.

There is no fee for this class but you must register your child with a current library card.

Sorry, no phone or internet registration. Please come in to the library to sign up for this class.

Registration for Music and Movement begins October 18, 2010.
Twilight Tales
Twilight Tales

Twilight Tales is a family story time. No registration is required for this program. Twilight Tales lasts approximately thirty minutes and is held downstairs every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

The mission of Twilight Tales story time is to bring families together in a shared love for books and reading, and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in which that love of literature can be fostered.

Upcoming themes include:

  1. August 3 – Watermelon/Picnic Day
  2. August 10 – Money ­­
  3. August 17 – Flying and airplanes
  4. August 24 – School
  5. August 31 – Artists and Art
  6. September 7 – Grandparents!
  7. September 14 – Read a New Book

  9. September 28 – Dogs
Registration is not required for Twilight Tales.
Spanish Story Time
Spanish Story Time

Spanish Story Time is held every Friday at 10:30 am. This is a FREE program; no registration is required. All ages are welcome. Stories, fingerplays and songs are presented in Spanish and in English.

Les invitamos a la biblioteca para participar en una adventura y cuentos en ingles y en español.

Registration is not required for Spanish Story Time.
A.S.A.P. (After School Activity Program)
A.S.A.P. (After School Activity Program)

This program explores different monthly themes for elementary-school-aged children. Join together at 4:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month to explore, expand knowledge, and have lots of fun -- all at the same time!

These classes are FREE, but you must sign up and obtain tickets to allow the library to plan for this event. Tickets will be available two weeks before the event at the circulation desk.

Please come to the library to sign up. There is no online registration.
