Children's Programs and Events
A.S.A.P. - After School Activity Program
This program explores different themes for elementary-school-aged children. Join together at 4:30 p.m. on the first, second and third Thursday of the month to explore, expand knowledge, and have lots of fun -- all at the same time! Click here for more information.
Music and Movement
Music and Movement features rhythm, chanting, singing, and movement. This is class for ages 3 1/2 to 6 years. Registration is required with a valid and current PGCL card. Registration can only be done in person at the library. Click here for more information. This class is held on Mondays at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. and lasts for about 40 minutes. This program is taking a break for the summer and will return in the fall.
Story Time
Story Time is a six-week program for children three to six years old and consists of approximately 40 minutes of stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts. Registration is required with a valid and current PGCL card. Class times to choose from are Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. This program is taking a break for the summer and will return in the fall.
Wee Read
Wee Read is a class for little ones, eighteen months to three years. Encourage reading development with stories, fingerplays and music. Registration is required with a valid and current PGCL card. This class is held on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. and lasts roughly 20 minutes, with time after for parents to read with their little ones. This program is taking a break for the summer and will return in the fall.
Spanish Storytime
Spanish Story Time is held year-round every Friday at 10:30 am. This is a FREE program; no registration is required. All ages are welcome. Stories, fingerplays and songs are presented in Spanish and in English.
Twilight Tales
Twilight Tales is a family story time that runs year-round. No registration is required for this program. Twilight Tales lasts approximately thirty minutes and is held downstairs every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
