Teen After Hours

The "Teen After Hours" program is free for all teens in jr. high and high school. Activities are held one Friday a month at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the library.

Friday, January 20 @ 6:30 p.m. - Great Reads for Teens: A Cinder Event   All teens in jr. high and high school are invited to a fun night of activites and treats based on the book Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Test your wits in the Escape Room, win prizes for the best costumes, join in the book discussion or get creative with cyborg hand painting. A copy of the book is available at the front desk, but all teens are invited even if you have not read the book.

Friday, February 17 @ 6:30 p.m. - Game Night! Group games, board games, XBox and Wii. And of course, snacks!

Friday, March 17 @ 6:30 p.m. - Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish pháirtí (party)! See if you have the “Luck of the Irish” playing games and hunting for gold. All teens in jr. high and high school are invited to this free event.

Friday, April 28 @ 6:30 p.m. - Make something special for mom this Mother's Day. We have all the supplies to make a beautiful card or small gift for the mom in your life. This activity will last approx. 1 hour.

Computer Programing Course

Wednesday, April 19 through June 7 at 7:00 p.m. - Learn computer programming at your own pace. This free 8 week course has a scheduled class time with lecture but is designed to let someone learn entirely on their own if they choose.There are prepared lecture videos and documents to watch and read. These can take the place of lectures and should teach everything needed to complete homework assignments. More information can be found here.

Held the 2nd Thursday of each month.
