book sealThe Program

Starting June 5, teens can pick up the Teen Summer Reading log at Pleasant Grove Library and earn prizes by reading. This program does not require any registration and is free for teens in (or going into) jr. high and high school.
For every 3 hours you read, you get a lottery ticket. Make sure you fill out the contact info on the back of the ticket so the library can contact you if you win a prize.

Any type of reading counts, including online, audiobooks, comics, and of course, books! There is no limit to how many lottery tickets you can earn by reading. You can earn additional lottery tickets by attending teen events and completing 10 random acts of kindness. Lottery tickets will be used to draw winners for the Kindle Fire and other prizes.

Once you’ve read a total of 24 hours, turn your time sheet in for a prize packet full of coupons for free stuff from local restaurants like In-N-Out, Chick-fil-A and Water Gardens Movie Theater. You can only earn one prize packet, but keep reading for additional lottery tickets!

Turn in your time sheets at the front desk or during a teen activity.
