Great Reads: Thursday, February 28th at 7 pm. “Stargirl” In this celebration of nonconformity, Newbery Medalist Jerry Spinelli weaves a tense, emotional tale about the perils of popularity and the thrill and inspiration of first love. Girls ages 8 to 14 are invited to come with their mothers (or other caring adult) for an evening of refreshments, fun activities and lively discussions. Pick up a copy of the current book at the front desk. Great Reads for Girls meets in the program room on the main level of the library.
